Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Wordeed app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, write to us at [email protected].
Who we are
Wordeed is a vocabulary learning app for iPhone and Android. In this policy, “Wordeed”, “we” and “us” mean the developer of the app and the operator of wordeed.app.
What we collect
Your account
You can start using Wordeed without signing in. In that case we create an anonymous account identifier so your progress can be saved. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your account is linked to that sign-in and we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email address. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we only receive a private relay address. We store your first and last name in your profile so the app can greet you.
Your learning settings and progress
- Your app language, the language you are learning and your level.
- Your test results: topic, level, which words you answered and whether each answer was right or wrong, the number of correct and wrong answers, how long the test took and when you completed it.
- Your streak, how many tests you used today and when you were last active.
- Your reminder schedule (days and time), if you set one.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details. Through RevenueCat we receive which plan you bought, its status and its expiry date, linked to your account identifier, so we can unlock and restore Premium.
Ads
The free version can show a short video ad, only when you choose to watch one to unlock an extra test. These ads are served by Google AdMob and are requested as non-personalized. Wordeed does not ask for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites and does not use your advertising identifier for tracking. Google may still process limited device and usage information (such as IP address and device type) to deliver the ad, limit how often it appears and prevent fraud. Premium removes these ads.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not collect a push notification token. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
What we don’t collect
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools in the app, we do not access your contacts, photos, location or microphone, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To run the app: save your progress, show your stats and history, and keep them when you change devices.
- To apply the daily free test limit and unlock Premium.
- To show an optional video ad when you ask for an extra test.
- To schedule the reminders you set up.
- To answer you when you contact us.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and only to provide its service to us. Some of these providers may process data outside your country.
Who can see your data
Your profile and test results are protected so that only your account can read and change them. A small number of authorized Wordeed administrators can access test results to maintain the service and handle support requests.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, your test history and your sign-in account are deleted immediately. Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat are kept according to their own policies and legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time from Profile in the app. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
- Access or correct the information we hold about you by contacting us.
- Turn off reminders in the app or in your device settings.
- Avoid ads by not choosing the optional video, or by going Premium.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or KVKK. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Wordeed is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
